Hi, I'm Andy, the creator of YellowRoam — a locally built travel app designed to help people make the most of their time in and around the Yellowstone ecosystem. I’ve spent nearly 25 years living, working and exploring this region: backpacking deep into the backcountry, hiking its ridgelines, floating the rivers, and skiing through its long winters.

I started YellowRoam because I believe a trip to Yellowstone should be more than just checking off the popular stops — it should feel personal, informed, and connected to the landscape. With a background in computer science and a love for this place I call home, I built this app to share local insights that often get overlooked: the quiet trails, smart seasonal tips, and the kind of advice you’d normally only get from someone who lives here.
